DEER AND OTHER WILD GAME PROCESSING

Here at Township Meats, we pride ourselves on returning your deer to you in only the best condition. Transparency in our process is something that is hugely important to us. We have an open door policy; you are welcome to watch us process your harvest. Whether you are getting cuts, bagged trim, ground venison, or a mix thereof, you can assure yourself that you are receiving your own venison back, and that the meat will be clean, safe, and packaged to hold up in any freezer.

Steaks, roasts, and other cuts will be double wrapped in plastic and heavy duty freezer paper. Township Meats stands behind the longevity of using the paper wrapping method versus vacuum bags. Packages will be clearly marked with the cut, as well as the month and year of packaging for ease of keeping inventory.

 

Trim will be bagged in 10#-20# poly bags for your convenience.

 

If you select your trim to be ground, each package will be in a plastic tube with a vinyl tape closure for your thawing convenience. Unlike the metal clips of most hamburger tubes, you can throw these packages right into the microwave to thaw! Packages will be clearly marked as wild game to avoid confusion in the freezer.

Please note: at this time, we do not offer smoked sausages, but we have plenty of recommendations!

Trim must be received boneless, in clean food safe containers or clear food bags.

Trim brought in uncleaned will be assessed the cleaning fee, and trim received in unsafe containers

or unsafe bags will be turned away. This is to ensure only the highest quality is returned.

Note: CWD positive deer/ground venison will not be refunded processing charges. Storage of trim/product prior to obtaining results from DNR will be charged standard storage fee. Township Meats disposal of CWD positive product is no additional charge.
